Prentiss County deputies arrest man for drug possession, warrants
Prentiss County deputies, along with officers from the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, set up a checkpoint on Feb. 24, 2026, authorities said.
During the operation, Deputy Ethan Hester arrested Ricky Borden, 62, of Booneville, on charges of driving without a license and multiple justice court warrants, according to officials.
It was also discovered that Borden had dropped a cigarette pack containing alleged crack cocaine, authorities said. Borden’s bond was set at $5,000 by Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Ray Hall.
North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next grand jury, officials added.
