Ice persists on roads and bridges in 23 Mississippi counties as of 9 a.m. Thursday, according to state transportation officials. The affected counties are Alcorn, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Lafayette, Leflore, Marshall, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, Washington, and Yalobusha.
