Booneville Man Charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence
A routine traffic stop on Highway 30 by Prentiss County Deputy Ethan Hester resulted in the arrest of a Booneville man on September 5th, 2024.
Jamie Lewellen, a resident of Booneville, was taken into custody and charged with the crime of Tampering with Physical evidence – Habitual Offender along with other misdemeanor charges.
Lewellen, 45, was already on house arrest with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) for prior crimes.
Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Craig Bishop set his bond at $25,000 and the case will be presented to the next Grand Jury by North MS Narcotics Agent Grady Smith.
