Governor Reeves officially announces a Shelter in Place order for entire state
Mississippi has officially announced a shelter in place order for all citizens, according to Governor Tate Reeves.
“This order will be enforced. We are taking this very, very seriously,” Reeves said at a press release.
The order goes in to affect on Friday at 5 p.m. The ultimate goal is to keep our health system from falling.
Governor Reeves and Dr. Thomas Dobbs both spoke at the press conference.
Dr Dobbs spoke about how our nursing homes are starting to see more cases and that is one of the more concerning parts of this.
They both spoke about using this tool to slow the spread down, to maximize our chance of recovery.
