Mississippi State Flag Submissions Released

The highly awaited submissions for the new state flag of Mississippi were released Monday morning.

The Mississippi Department of Archives and History announced hundreds of flag submissions are now available online for the public to view.

Over 2,000 submissions were received for the new state flag that fulfilled the legislative requirements that had been set by state lawmakers. The deadline to submit a flag proposal was on August 1.

The Mississippi Flag Submission will pick one submission to be placed on the November ballot for the general public.
