Ridgeland Woman Wanted for Aggravated Animal Cruelty After Cats Left to Die in Vacant Home
Ridgeland police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman accused of abandoning multiple cats inside a home without food or water, leading to the deaths of two animals.
Authorities say 39-year-old Megan Victoria Davis is wanted on two counts of aggravated animal cruelty. Investigators believe Davis moved out of her residence, leaving the cats trapped inside for an extended period.
According to Ridgeland Police Department, two cats were found deceased, while two others were discovered alive but severely malnourished. The surviving cats have since been taken to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League for care.
