Suregeon General has dire warning “this week, it’s going to get bad”
The United States Surgeon General went on national TV on Monday and had a dire warning for Americans.
“I want America to understand — this week, it’s going to get bad,” US Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams told NBC this morning.
“I think that there are a lot of people who are doing the right things, but I think that unfortunately we’re finding out a lot of people think this can’t happen to them,” he added.
This comes as multiple major metropolitan areas in America, including New York, are seeing massive outbreaks.
In Mississippi, nearly 50 new cases were reported, bringing the total statewide to 249.
New testing is set to begin this week at multiple locations.
The MSDH Public Health Laboratory is testing samples submitted by Mississippi physicians and healthcare providers around the state in cases where COVID-19 is determined to be a risk. Anyone with symptoms of fever, severe cough or severe chest pains – especially those who are older or in poor health – should call their doctor or healthcare provider for instructions on safely being examined. Healthcare providers can assess your health history and symptoms, and perform testing for COVID-19 as needed.
