Biggersville hosted Hamilton in a 1A playoff series on Tuesday and came away with the victory in the battle of the Lions.
Biggersville scored four runs in the first inning and never trailed in the contest, although Hamilton did keep the game close enough to go the full 7 innings.
Luke Overstreet scored three runs with a pair of hits and an RBI while Brooks Seago led with a trio of hits, including a double. Drew Rowsey had a pair of hits, 2 runs scored and a pair of RBI. Hunter Johnson knocked in a two run homer in the 5th inning.
On the mound, Dylan Rowsey struck out 9 while scattering 3 hits as he kept Hamilton off balance all game.
Game 2 is at Hamilton as Biggersville looks to advance with the sweep. Game 3 will be back at Biggersville if necessary.
