Booneville man sentenced to 58 years for drug charges
BOONEVILLE – A Booneville man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple drug sale charges.
Fredrick Eugene Ragin, 54, appeared in court on September 3, 2025, where he admitted to selling between 2 and 10 grams of cocaine in a February 28, 2023, undercover operation conducted by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Booneville. He also pled guilty to two additional pending drug sale charges.
Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Mills Jr. handed down a sentence of 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 18 years suspended.
The case was investigated by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Kyle Robbins and Joel Baldwin of the First Circuit Court District. District Attorney Jason D. Herring commended the efforts of MBN agents in the case.
