Pedestrian Killed by Three Vehicles in Jackson

Jackson Police officers are investigating the death of a pedestrian that was struck by three vehicles.

The collision and death occurred on Friday evening, January 3rd around 6:30 p.m.

According to Darkhorse Press, the pedestrian, a thirty two year old man, was crossing the street in the 100 block of W. Northside Drive. While crossing the street, the man was struck by three different vehicles. The vehicles involved were a blue Nissan Sentra, a black pickup truck with no tag, and a silver Nissan Versa.

The Mobile Crime Unit as well as Accident Investigators were called to the scene of the collision.

The drivers of both the Nissan Sentra and the Nissan Versa remained at the scene after the collision. Both drivers gave statements to the accident investigators. The driver of the pickup truck, however, did not stop and left the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead by the coroner at the scene. His name has been withheld until next of kin is notified.
