Suspect in Corinth Capital Murder Captured in Florida

Law enforcement officals have captured the suspect in a Corinth capital murder case in Florida.

According to WTVA, Corinth Police Chief Landon Tucker announced that Rashawn Hawkins was captured in Vero Beach by U.S. Marshals and the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

Vero Beach is located southeast of Orlando. The details of Hawkins’s arrest have not yet been disclosed, though Chief Tucker stated he hopes to return Hawkins to Mississippi quickly.

Hawkins was being sought by police for the fatal shooting of twenty four year old Patrick Patterson, which took place on January 15th, 2025. Three suspects have been previously arrested by police in the case.
