A heat advisory remains in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today across portions of east Arkansas, northwest Mississippi, and southwest Tennessee, according to the National Weather Service Memphis.
The advisory warns of heat index values between 105 and 109 degrees in the affected areas.
