Officers with the Corinth Police Department traded patrol time for classroom time this week, visiting Corinth Elementary for Career Day to talk with students about police work and what it means to serve the community. The department shared the visit on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, along with roughly 70 photos from the day.

In its post, the department said its officers “had a great time” at the school. Officers spent the visit talking with students, answering their questions, and explaining a little about the job of a police officer.
The photos show officers posing with groups of students, children trying on vests marked “POLICE,” and young visitors getting an up-close look at one of the department’s large tactical vehicles parked outside the school. Several students also posed with officers in the classroom, some of them wearing play police uniforms of their own.
The department said it values the chance to connect with “our community’s youngest members” and hopes the visit will “inspire some future public servants along the way.”
Why Career Day visits matter
Career Day events give elementary students an early, hands-on look at jobs in their own hometown. For a police department, the visits also serve another purpose: helping children see officers as familiar, approachable people they can go to for help.
Community outreach like this is a regular part of the Corinth Police Department’s work. The department’s stated mission is to “work together for a quality community” through commitment, integrity, excellence, trust, and mutual respect. Its officers regularly show up at community events around Corinth, from school visits to charity games.
Community reaction
The post drew more than 150 reactions and dozens of shares within its first few hours. One parent commented that the kids “had the best time,” and thanked the officers for coming.
