Employers reminded of key W-2 and 1099 filing deadlines

Employers are reminded of important tax filing deadlines set by the Mississippi Department of Revenue. W-2 forms must be provided to employees and filed with the DOR by Feb. 2, according to the department.

Employers that file more than 10 W-2s or 1099s are required to submit these forms electronically. Paper and electronic 1099 forms for fewer than 10 recipients are due to the DOR by March 2.
