Businesses must file their 1099 forms for the 2025 tax year with the Mississippi Department of Revenue by March 2, according to state officials. The filings are due regardless of whether the forms are submitted to the IRS, which also requires these documents.
For businesses submitting 10 or more 1099s, electronic filing is mandatory. The department encourages filers to visit its website for more information and to access the 1099 Guidance for Recipients document.
