Mississippi Department of Public Safety reports progress on service and accountability

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety announced recent accomplishments aimed at improving public services and law enforcement accountability.

According to department officials, driver services wait times have decreased across the state. The agency also reported eliminating its autopsy backlog, addressing a significant issue that had persisted for some time.

Additionally, the Standards & Training division has ramped up investigations to ensure accountability within law enforcement agencies. Despite these advances, officials emphasized that their work continues to serve and protect Mississippians better.
