Mississippi Department of Public Safety participated in the 16th Annual Fallen Officer Candlelight Vigil on Thursday, alongside Attorney General Lynn Fitch, police chiefs, and sheriffs’ officials.
The event honored the men and women who lost their lives in service to their communities. DPS officials expressed their commitment to supporting officers and their families.
In a statement, the department said it will always stand behind law enforcement personnel and remember the sacrifices made by officers and their families across the state.
