Mississippi hosts wildlife management event with MSU experts

Mississippi State University and its Extension Service are hosting an event called Bucks, Birds, & Beards on April 30, 2026, at the Bost Extension Center on the MSU campus. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Organizers partnered with the MSU Extension Gamebird Program and MSU Deer Lab to provide information on wildlife management across the state. Biologists and specialists will discuss deer, duck, and turkey management strategies that attendees can apply on their properties.

The event offers opportunities for attendees to learn from wildlife professionals, ask questions, and connect with other hunters, landowners, and conservationists. A free meal will be provided during the event, according to organizers.

Officials encourage anyone interested in land management, hunting, or wildlife conservation to attend. Registration is available online through the MSU Extension website.
