Northeast Chorus and Voices to Perform Spring Concert in Booneville
Northeast’s Chorus and Voices ensemble will present its annual spring concert on Tuesday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Booneville, according to college officials.
The college’s chorus and chamber choir serve as ambassadors for Northeast, showcasing vocal talents from students across various academic disciplines, not just music majors. Over the years, the ensembles have performed across Mississippi, including numerous concerts and exhibitions.
The concert will feature music from a variety of genres, including Felix Mendelssohn’s “Verleih’ uns Frieden” and a contemporary gospel arrangement of “Let Everything That Hath Breath” by Jeffery Ames. A highlight will be an invitation for former Northeast chorus members to join the final performance of the night, “In Meeting, We Are Blessed.”
Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend, officials said.
