Students in the Dental Hygiene program at Northeast Mississippi Community College hosted an oral cancer screening day in the college’s union. The event offered free screenings to the public and aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular dental checkups.
Organizers said the event provides valuable hands-on experience for students while serving the community. Participants who attended were encouraged to prioritize their oral health and seek regular screenings.
The college expressed gratitude to everyone who participated and supported the effort to promote health awareness and future healthcare professionals.
