Northeast Mississippi Community College hosts Galentine’s celebration for female students

Students at Northeast Mississippi Community College gathered tonight at the Black Student Union for a Galentine’s celebration. The event was filled with fellowship, laughter, and fun activities, including bedazzling.

Organizers emphasized that the event was about more than just accessories. School officials said supporting one another helps boost confidence, strengthen friendships, and improve mental health. Creating safe spaces where young women feel seen, valued, and encouraged is a priority, they added.

School representatives expressed pride in students building each other up and fostering a positive community. The event aligns with the college’s mission to promote empowerment and inclusivity among its students.
