A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Missouri Bootheel and portions of northeast Arkansas, the National Weather Service in Memphis announced Wednesday.
The advisory takes effect at 9 a.m. and remains in place until 9 p.m., as winds are expected to be strong throughout the day. Forecasters warn residents to secure loose items to prevent damage or injury.
Winds are forecast to be particularly gusty in the affected areas, prompting the weather service to urge caution. No injuries or damage reports have been confirmed at this time.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take appropriate safety measures during the windy conditions.
