Officials vow to crack down on government waste at all levels

Government officials announced plans to increase oversight of taxpayer dollars across all levels of government.

They emphasized that it doesn’t matter if funds are allocated through large federal programs or small state agencies. If there is wasteful spending, authorities will identify it and inform the public, officials said.

The initiative aims to ensure transparency and accountability in government spending, according to a spokesperson.

Details on how agencies will be monitored or specific targets were not provided.
