According to recent research, residents living in mobile or manufactured homes are 15 to 20 times more likely to die in a disaster or incident compared to those in permanent homes, the National Weather Service said.
The agency encourages homeowners to review safety guidelines to reduce risks. A one-page safety guide for mobile home occupants is available for review.
The reminder comes as part of efforts to improve safety awareness, especially during severe weather seasons. For more information, visit weather.gov.
