A tornado warning has been issued for Wayne County, Mississippi, and is expected to remain in effect until 9:30 a.m. CDT, the National Weather Service said.

Residents in the area are advised to seek shelter and stay alert for further updates. The warning was originally issued earlier today and has been extended as severe weather conditions continue.

There are no reports of injuries or damages at this time, but officials urge caution and preparedness as the storm system moves through the region.
