Tornado Warning Issued for Alcorn and Tippah Counties in Mississippi

A tornado warning has been issued for Alcorn and Tippah counties in northern Mississippi, the National Weather Service said Monday evening.

The warning is in effect until 8:45 p.m. CDT. Residents in the area are advised to seek shelter immediately and stay alert for additional updates.

The weather service has urged people to remain cautious as severe weather conditions continue to pose a threat in the region.
