Wind Advisory Issued for Parts of Arkansas and Missouri

A wind advisory will take effect at 11 a.m. Thursday in parts of northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Gusts approaching 40 miles per hour are expected in those areas. Elsewhere, conditions are expected to remain gusty throughout the region.

Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items to prevent damage or injury. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice, the weather service said.
