NEMCC foundation secures 14 iPads for student backup use

Northeast Mississippi Community College says its Development Foundation secured donor funding for 14 iPads and protective cases to give students temporary access when an assigned device is being repaired, is unavailable or needs charging. The college said the equipment is meant to reduce interruptions and help students stay on track with coursework.

According to the college, the iPads will be available across six academic divisions. The backup devices are intended for short-term use, giving students another way to keep up with classwork while their regular technology is out of service or out of power.

The college’s post said the donation came through the generosity of an unnamed donor. NEMCC said the investment supports student success by making it easier for students to remain connected to their classes and learning materials.

The college thanked the donor for the contribution and said the iPads and cases will provide practical support for students who need a temporary device. No other details about distribution, eligibility or timing were included in the post.
