Tornado watch issued for Alcorn County until 11 pm

A Tornado Watch has been issued for Alcorn County by the National Weather Service.

It is ongoing until 11 pm as part of the storm system that is producing damaging winds.

The storm system is widespread, with various warning being issued for nearly every county in MS throughout the day.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 23 IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CST THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MISSISSIPPI THIS WATCH INCLUDES 10 COUNTIES IN NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALCORN CALHOUN CHICKASAW ITAWAMBA LEE MONROE PONTOTOC PRENTISS TISHOMINGO UNION IN TENNESSEE THIS WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN WEST TENNESSEE HARDIN

THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ABERDEEN, AMORY, BOONEVILLE, BRUCE, CALHOUN CITY, CORINTH, FULTON, HOUSTON, IUKA, NEW ALBANY, OKOLONA, PONTOTOC, SAVANNAH, AND TUPELO.
