Mississippi Governor warns: “Our hospital system is stretched thin. The risk is real and everywhere”

The Governor of Mississippi had a dire warning for residents in Missisisppi on Wednesday as relates to COVID-19.

Tate Reeves pulled no punches in his live address on Wednesday:

“Our hospital system is being stretched thin. COVID-19 numbers are rising steadily. We have placed additional restrictions on hospitals to deal with the surge, and more county-specific orders are coming shortly. The risk is real and everywhere.”

The Governor said that new regulations would be brought forward and said that residents should follow all existing regulations.

“I am asking you as someone who has a wife and three daughters in our state,” Reeves said about following existing regulations.
