Alcorn County Electric taking steps to possibly offer internet service

Alcorn County Electric is taking steps to allow internet service to its customers according to a message from Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley.

From Presley:

BREAKING NEWS! Alcorn County Electric Power Association is asking their members to please vote YES to amend the cooperative’s charter to allow them to provide high-speed internet service if feasible. This is a MAJOR step forward for rural internet service. Please forward to all of your contacts in Alcorn County.
