Corinth student detained after being found with concealed weapon

The Corinth Police department was called to Corinth High School after a report was made of a student with a weapon at school.

From Corinth School District:

This morning Corinth High School administrators received a report that a student had a weapon. The administrators immediately detained the student and contacted the Corinth Police Department. A search of the student revealed he did have a concealed weapon. The Corinth Police Department took custody of the student and transported him to the Corinth Police Department.

Corinth High School administrators and the Corinth Police Department are to be commended for their prompt and professional response to the situation. The Corinth Police Department is now in charge of the investigation.

The Corinth School District is committed to providing safe and orderly schools for all of our children.
