A family dispute the day after Thanksgiving turned deadly according to the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department.

On Friday Evening ,11/26/2021, 911 Dispatched Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputies to 63 CR 246 in Iuka Ms. Regarding a fight and shooting with injuries.
Multiple witnesses stated that Michael Ray Thacker got into an argument with a family member and retrieved a gun and began firing at the family member and another male.
The male returned fire striking Mr. Michael Ray Thacker, and 911 was called. Mr. Michael Ray Thacker died as a result of a gunshot wound.
The case is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s office and will be presented to the Tishomingo County Grand Jury.
