Fatal accident on Pickwick after two boats collide with each other on water

The TWRA is reporting a fatal accident on Pickwick lake after a pair of boats collided in the water on Saturday afternoon, leaving one person dead and one person seriously injured.

From TWRA:

 The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency responded to a call about a boating accident on Saturday, August 15, 2020, around 3:00 p.m.

The accident occurred on Pickwick Lake in Dry Creek cove. Upon arrival, officers reported two personal watercrafts had collided with three people being involved in the accident. One individual was confirmed dead. A second occupant suffered severe injuries and was transported to the local hospital.

TWRA is currently investigating the accident. If anyone has any relevant information regarding the collision, please call our TWRA Region 1 office at 731-423-5725.
