Missing fisherman reported after boating accident at Pickwick

From the Hardin County Fire Department:

3-23-23, 5:44 pm firefighters responded to the TN river approximately 2 miles below the Pickwick dam on reported boating accident. Initial reports indicated 2 people in the water and a boat going in circles on the river.

Firefighters in a rescue boat located 1 adult male on the west bank of the TN river, he was transported to the boat ramp and evaluated by EMS. The second adult male did not make it to shore and is still missing.

The search was suspended Thursday night and will resume Friday morning.

TWRA and the Hardin county sheriffs department are investigating the accident. Our thoughts and prayers for all involved.
