The state health officer in Mississippi highlighted Alcorn County for having one of the fastest COVID growth rates in the state on Wednesday morning.
Dr. Thomas Dobbs pointed out the growth rate in Alcorn County in a presentation via Twitter.
He urged residents to use a mask, practice social distancing including only gathering in small groups.
The City of Corinth also urged local residents to heed medical warnings as the number of cases in Alcorn County has went from 41 to 179 in the last four weeks.
