Northeast Mississippi Community College Adult Education students participate in team survival activity

Students in Mrs. Deanne Droke’s adult education class at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Corinth participated in a team survival activity designed to promote collaboration and decision-making.

The exercise challenged students to work together, make critical decisions as a group, and present their results to the class, according to college officials. The activity has been part of the college’s Smart Start experience since the program’s inception years ago, though it is not currently part of the formal curriculum.

College representatives noted that the activity continues to be valuable for teaching communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and teamwork. Educators see these skills as essential for student success and emphasize their importance in real-world situations.
