Weather across the South is expected to remain generally dry and benign over the next 24 hours, according to forecasters.

A more active weather pattern is anticipated to arrive late Monday, bringing increased chances of storms and rainfall.

In the meantime, there is a low chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms across southeastern Arkansas and northwestern Mississippi from tonight through Sunday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Residents are advised to stay updated on local forecasts as conditions may change with the approaching system.
