Forecasters noted uncertainty about potential storms later in the week, which could impact the likelihood of reaching heat indices above 110 degrees. As a result, confidence in extreme heat conditions remains uncertain.
Residents are advised to stay cool and hydrated during this period of hot weather, officials said. The advisory covers the Mid-South area and urges caution amid ongoing heat conditions.
