Hot and humid weather will persist through much of next week, with high temperatures reaching the upper 90s, according to forecasts.
Heat index values are expected to rise to between 105 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit in some areas starting Sunday. These conditions are projected to spread across most of the region early next week.
