May is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, a time to highlight the importance of skin protection. Despite it not being summer yet, experts warn that the sun’s rays today are comparable in strength to those in late July.
According to the National Weather Service, UV radiation levels can be high even in spring. People are encouraged to take sun safety precautions to reduce their risk of skin cancer.
