The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks is encouraging residents to share photos of their time on the water during National Fishing & Boating Week. The department highlighted the importance of outdoor recreation and making memories on Mississippi’s waters.
Officials said they welcome photos of first catches, days spent on boats, or simply enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. They also invited the public to tag the department in their social media posts for a chance to be featured.
Department representatives expressed their enthusiasm for seeing residents’ outdoor experiences and celebrating the state’s rich fishing and boating culture during the week.
