Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is recognizing its K-9 teams on National Dog Day.
The department’s highly trained dogs assist Conservation Officers in protecting wildlife and natural resources across the state.
According to MDWFP, these K-9s are involved in tracking, detection, and field assistance. They work closely with their handlers to support law enforcement and conservation efforts.
The department expressed gratitude for the loyalty and dedication of the K-9 teams, emphasizing their vital role in safeguarding Mississippi’s environment.
