Mississippi Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Methamphetamine Sale
IOKA, Miss. — A Mississippi man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to the sale of methamphetamine, according to court records.
Circuit Court Judge Kelly Mims sentenced Shawn Weaver, 49, during a hearing in Tishomingo County on Monday. Weaver received the sentence following his guilty plea to the drug charge.
The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics conducted the investigation leading to the case, and the District Attorney’s Office prosecuted the case. Assistant District Attorney Clay Cummings represented the state in court, according to the district attorney’s office.
Jason D. Herring, district attorney for the First Circuit Court District, praised law enforcement’s efforts in the investigation.
