Mississippi will require all new drivers to complete a driver’s education course starting July 1, 2027, according to state officials.

The Department of Public Safety has posted a list of approved driving instructors on its website (dps.ms.gov) to help prospective drivers find local programs.

Officials advise individuals to plan ahead and ensure they meet the new requirement before obtaining a driver’s license.
