Mississippi wildlife officials teach children about alligators at Wesson Library
WESSON, Miss. — Andrew Arnett, coordinator of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Alligator Program, visited Wesson Library to educate children about native alligators.
During the program, kids learned fun facts about alligator behavior, habitats, diets, and their ecological importance. Arnett also brought a live alligator, allowing attendees to see the reptile up close.
The event highlighted the department’s efforts to conserve and manage alligators throughout Mississippi, according to MDWFP officials.
