The National Weather Service is inviting public feedback on its plans to modernize the Cooperative Observer Program, or COOP, according to a recent federal register notice.
The agency aims to enhance the network by integrating new technology, optimizing observation sites, and utilizing high-quality commercial data, NWS officials said.
