NEMCC MIBEST Program Still Accepting Applications for Eligible Students

Eligible students still can apply for the MI-BEST Program at Northeast Mississippi Community College. The program helps participants earn their High School Equivalency diploma while pursuing career training in various fields.

Participants may receive assistance with tuition, books, supplies, and other support services. To qualify, applicants must be single parents, need to earn a HSE, and have at least a Bronze-level WorkKeys certificate or higher, according to college officials.

The program offers training in several career pathways, including certified nursing assistant, emergency medical technician, industrial maintenance, medical administrative assistant, welding, and phlebotomy. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Amanda Janes at adjanes@nemcc.edu for more information or to determine eligibility.

NEMCC officials emphasized that this is a valuable opportunity for those seeking to improve their skills and job prospects. Applications are still being accepted, but space is limited.
