Northeast awards inaugural Mark Lothenore Memorial Scholarship to two students

Holly Springs resident Starlandria Walton and Rienzi resident Alissa Cook are the first recipients of the Mark Lothenore Memorial Scholarship at Northeast Community College.

The scholarship, funded by the Tristate Providers Network, aims to assist nursing students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and financial need. It also honors Mark Lothenore’s legacy of compassion and service, according to college officials.

Those interested in creating scholarships to benefit future Northeast students are encouraged to contact Patrick Eaton, vice president of institutional advancement and executive director of the foundation and alumni association, at dpeaton@nemcc.edu.
