Northeast Mississippi Community College dedicates Alumni Pavilion in honor of Dr. William Jackson
Northeast Mississippi Community College held a special ceremony at Tiger Stadium to dedicate its newly enhanced Alumni Pavilion. The event included a ribbon-cutting and the official naming of the space in honor of Dr. William “Bill” Jackson.
Dr. Jackson, a former Tiger football player and student government president, became a longtime Corinth physician and supporter of Northeast. He was named Alumnus of the Year in 1977 and was inducted into the Northeast Alumni Hall of Fame in 2014, college officials said.
The college expressed pride in honoring Jackson’s legacy and creating a space where alumni and current students can reconnect. Officials emphasized that the pavilion will serve as a gathering place for Tigers to celebrate and feel at home for years to come.
Northeast representatives stated, “Once a Tiger, always a Tiger,” highlighting the enduring connection between alumni and the college.
